Product Description

USC Ranch House Feed Mix rock salt is a money saving value when calcium and /or sulfur feed supplements are desired in addition to salt.The Ranch House rock salt is particularly pure in salt (IFN 6-04-152) and calcium sulfate. (IFN 6-26-134), both recognized mineral products by AAFCO. Magnesium sulfate and potassium chloride are also present, but in amounts too small to be considered valuable.

Process

The rock salt continues to be mined from natural deposits 1,500 feet below the earth's surface, as it has since the late 1920's. During the processing, the salt is crushed and screened for the specific gradation suited for livestock and poultry feeds. An anti-caking agent, YPS, is added to prevent caking and lumping, ease handling, and maintain flow ability. The salt is hoisted to the surface and packaged for shipment.30

Package

This product is available from the Hockley, Texas, salt mine in bulk, in 50 Lb. and 80 Lb. paper and poly bags. The paper bags are muliwall, polyethylene-lined, moisture-proof, skid resistant kraft valve pack paper bags.
