Marine Life Conservation Effort Assisted By Salt Donation.
The Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network (TMMSN) Coastal Bend located in Corpus Christi, Texas is a non-profit volunteer organization "dedicated to the understanding and conservation of marine mammals since 1980". After a recent donation of salt from United Salt Corporation the following response was received from Lea Walker, Regional Coordinator for TMMSN:
Thank you so much for your donation for Harley. Without good people like you,we could never take even the first step in caring for sick or injured marine mammals. Our organization depends on the kindness of people like yourself to provide the necessary supplies to operate on.
Little Harley is doing well so far and we hope to continue this trend. The fact that you cared enough about her plight to donate some salt means so much to us. God bless you for your compassion.
I am enclosing some pictures of her. She's by far the most interesting animal we have had yet.
